Patent Definitions

Patent Pending - this means that you have a patent application in the patent process. This can be a provisional application during its one-year life, or a design or non-provisional application that is still in the examination process. Once the application issues as a patent, it is "Patented". If the application goes abandoned, you are no longer entitled to use the phase "Patent Pending".
